Cookbook Contest and Recipe Entry’s Deadline Extended…..
Deadline for the cookbook name, cover art, and recipe submissions, has been extended until May 31st.

The Atlantic Surfing Federation, a full member organization under Surfing America, the National Governing Body for the sport of amateur surfing in the USA, is making a cookbook…Yes, you heard right. Surfers cook, and so do mom’s, so start looking through your recipes, as they must be submitted to me by May 31st in order to be included. Please put your name, FL Chapter, and email address on your submission.
Get involved in the making of the ASF’s “Healthy Surfers” cooking creation by entering one of two of our contests:
1. The first contest is for the name. We are looking for something creative, so use your imagination. The winner will receive a free year’s membership.
2. The second contest is the cover artwork. The winner will also receive a free year’s membership.
3. Both of these need to reflect the ASF, its mission statement, as well as “food”, as this is a cookbook.
Entry deadline extended to May 31st . Please put your name, FL Chapter, and email address on your submission. The “judging panel” will then meet to decide the winners. We have a lot of talent in our Chapter, so I am looking for a lot of participation….. The judges may also choose some of the artwork for the interior of the book, so get creative….

Atlantic Surfing Federation – Florida Chapter
For those of you who competed in ASF Championships in October, tell your friends…It was totally awesome, and everyone that participated had such a fantastic time. It is no secret that Chad and I are very proud of all of you! To the groms that braved through the tough conditions and showed everyone what little power houses who are, you rock! I hope all of our competitors get to experience next year’s ASF Championships. If it can be bigger and better, it will be! ESM did some fantastic coverage of the event and Melbourne’s Dalton Smith of NPI Productions put together a video from the weekend as well.

Mission Statement:
The Atlantic Surfing Federation is committed to promoting and implementing a modern, progressive surfing program for all members and ability levels. The ASF seeks to instill discipline, environmental awareness, positive values of fair play, and good sportsmanship in all its members, while encouraging and guiding their development in the area of competitive surfing.
The ASF is a non-profit organization, and a member of Surfing America, the recognized National Governing Body for surfing in the United States. The ASF will carry out the programs of Surfing America in order to qualify East Coast surfers for the Surfing America Prime Series, USA Championships, and the PacSun USA Surf Team. The ASF is a member of Surfing America, the recognized National Governing Body for surfing in the United States. The FL Chapter of the ASF is headquartered in Melbourne and will implement the amateur programs of the ASF in the state of Florida.
The Atlantic Surfing Federation is an IRS recognized 501(c) 3 charitable organization. All donations made to the Atlantic Surfing Federation are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law. Donation checks should be made payable to: Atlantic Surfing Federation – FL Chapter, 2621 Crooked Antler Drive, Melbourne, FL 32934. End of year tax receipts are sent to every individual donor of more than $250. For donations under $250, a canceled check or credit card statement is sufficient evidence for IRS purposes. The Atlantic Surfing Federation will send any donor a tax receipt upon request.
